Título
Assessing Young Learners – creating evidences that learning has taken place
Resumo
A whole range of entertaining, motivating, creative and physically engaging activities have been developed in order to support teachers working with young learners.
However, when it comes to assessing their progress, we often find ourselves driven back on testing materials which are more appropriate for use with older learners.
This session will attempt to link teaching and assessment so it becomes a dynamic and congruent duo, thus responding to the justifiable desire on the part of parents, schools, and other authorities for evidence that learning has taken place.
We will be looking at different ways of giving feedback, evaluating and assessing young students, using both formal and consultative modes so that teachers have access to a wide range of ideas which can make classroom assessment a valuable learning tool.
